Media Maratón Isla de Formentera
About This Race
The Media Maratón Isla de Formentera is one of Spain's most unique running events — a half marathon across the entire island of Formentera, the smallest of the Balearic Islands. Running from end to end through the last Mediterranean paradise, participants enjoy turquoise waters, white-sand beaches, and pine-scented trails. So popular that entries are allocated by raffle before a notary, with over 8,000 pre-registrations for just 2,000 half marathon spots. The 8K offers a shorter taste of island running.
The Course
Road course across Formentera island, mildly rolling with some small climbs. Mostly paved roads through coastal and rural island terrain.
